Description
The RX 580 has been AMD’s budget workhorse for years, and the XFX AMD Radeon RX 580 GTS XXX Edition 8GB is still one of the more capable versions of it. Polaris architecture, 2304 stream processors, and a factory overclock pushing the boost clock to 1386 MHz – this graphics card covers 1080p rasterized gaming without asking for a premium budget.
8GB of GDDR5 runs over a full 256-bit bus at up to 8.1 Gbps, which was generous for its era and still holds up for texture-heavy games at 1080p today. No ray tracing or DLSS-equivalent here – this is a pure rasterization card built before those features existed on the mainstream tier.
Dual BIOS is the standout feature: one profile tuned for gaming, a second tuned for mining workloads, switchable with a physical switch on the card. XFX‘s Double Dissipation cooling with a Zero DB fan system keeps noise down at idle and under light loads.
Output covers 3x DisplayPort 1.4, 1x HDMI 2.0b, and dual-link DVI-D, with AMD FreeSync 2 support for tear-free gameplay on compatible monitors. Recommended PSU is 500W minimum, with an 8-pin power connector required. For a genuinely budget 1080p build, this is one of the more complete RX 580 variants still available.
